Our Partners

MOVE staff works in partnership funded by Measure L with transportation providers and human services agencies throughout Stanislaus County to connect people with life changing transportation options. At community events, in presentations, and in one-to-one interactions, they share their extensive knowledge about The S and Turlock Transit – the County’s two public transit agencies – as well as the transportation services provided by MOVE and other human service organizations.

Grants

Community Partner Grant Program

Community Partners Grant Program (funded by Measure L) provides an opportunity for Stanislaus County non-profit agencies who provide services to seniors, individuals with disabilities and Veterans to apply for funding to assist their clients with transportation needs. This funding may be used to either expand a current transportation program or develop a new program to meet transportation needs not currently met my other programs in Stanislaus County.

Grant applications will be accepted until funding is no longer available. Should your agency have a transportation need that is currently not being met by any programs available in Stanislaus County, please contact:

Currently, two programs have been awarded funding for transportation programs.

  • Catholic Charities – Catholic Charities of Stockton provides a Senior Transportation Program to Stanislaus County residents 60 years and older to medical appointments and other destinations. Funding awarded for expansion of services beginning 2020.
  • Veteran Services Office – The Veteran Services Office of Modesto has created a new program to provide bus passes to qualifying low-income Veterans in Stanislaus County.

Scholarships Fund

The MOVE Scholarship Fund provides qualifying organizations with funding to improve staff training in technical and managerial skills related to transportation programs. These trainings could include attendance at industry conferences such as CalACT, participation in training programs conducted by the National Transit Institute (NTI), or courses in business skills such as technology or grant writing. The funds are used for registration, travel, lodging, meals, for staff members to attend training. Grant recipients are required to report back to MOVE on the results of the training. This could be in the form of a brief written report to MOVE Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The S is the new transit agency managed by Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA). MAX, StaRT and CAT consolidated to form The S to simplify transit in Stanislaus County. The S provides public transit services throughout Stanislaus County.

Turlock Transit

Turlock Transit provides public transit services within the City of Turlock. Services include fixed route Turlock Transit and Dial-A-Ride DART.

eTrans


The City of Escalon operates eTrans, a door-to-door dial-a-ride service within Escalon and limited service to Riverbank and Modesto.

The San Joaquin Regional Transit District

The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) provides public transit services in the Stockton Metropolitan Area, as well as Intercity, Interregional, and Rural Transit Services countywide.

Amtrak

Amtrak is a passenger railroad service that provides medium and long distance intercity service in the contiguous United States.

Greyhound

Greyhound is a North American intercity bus transportation service.

The Bus

The Bus provides public transportation in Merced County, operating 20 fixed routes and Paratransit service for individuals with disabilities.

Stanislaus County’s Aging and Veteran Services

Stanislaus County’s Aging and Veteran Services assists seniors and Veterans with obtaining services and benefits.

StanCOG

StanCOG is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for the Stanislaus region.

The Blossom Express

The Blossom Express is a fixed route service operated by the City of Ripon with stops in Ripon and Modesto.
