Our Partners

At MOVE, we know our community is stronger when we work together, which is why we believe collaboration is so important. Our MOVE team works closely with Measure L, using funding provided to enhance the independence of our senior and disabled community members. We also collaborate with a variety of Stanislaus County human services agencies and transportation providers and to offer people a variety of life-changing transportation options.

StanCOG

StanCOG is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for the Stanislaus region.

Caltrans

Caltrans manages more than 50,000 miles of California’s highway and freeway lanes, provides inter-city rail services, permits more than 400 public-use airports and special-use hospital heliports, and works with local agencies. Caltrans carries out its mission with six primary programs: Aeronautics, Highway Transportation, Mass Transportation, Transportation Planning, Administration, and the Equipment Service Center. Caltrans is a critical strategic MOVE partner that approves, funds, and administer 5310 grants for travel training, operations and van and bus purchases.

StanRTA

StanRTA provides Fixed Route and Demand Response (ADA Paratransit, Dial-A-Ride and Medivan) services throughout Stanislaus County, as well as commuter service to the Amtrak station in Modesto, ACE station in Lathrop, Manteca Transit Center, Stockton Transit Center and Dublin/Pleasanton BART station.

StanRTA is the primary provider of mass transportation in the suburban, rural and metropolitan areas of Stanislaus County, California. Fixed route service includes 27 routes that serve Ceres, Crows Landing, Grayson, Hickman, Hughson, Modesto, Newman, Oakdale, Patterson, Riverbank, Salida, Turlock, Waterford, and Westley.

In November 2021, StanRTA rebranded the combined system to “The S” with the slogan “Ride The S”. A new simplified fare structure went into effect January 1, 2022 that streamlined the previous MAX and StaRT fares into uniform fares valid on all StanRTA routes and services.

Turlock Transit

Turlock Transit provides public transit services within the City of Turlock. Services include fixed route Turlock Transit and Dial-A-Ride DART.

Stanislaus County’s Aging and Veteran Services assists seniors and Veterans with obtaining services and benefits.

The San Joaquin Regional Transit District

The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) provides public transit services in the Stockton Metropolitan Area, as well as Intercity, Interregional, and Rural Transit Services countywide.

Amtrack

Amtrak is a passenger railroad service that provides medium and long distance intercity service in the contiguous United States.

The Bus

The Bus provides public transportation in Merced County, operating 20 fixed routes and Paratransit service for individuals with disabilities.
